What the notice is actually saying
Amazon is asking for identity and address documents that match the seller on this account. The notice may say INFORM Act, identity verification, address verification, or ask for a government ID plus a utility bill or bank statement. Adjacent DAC7 tax-reporting requests look similar: they want papers that match the legal person on the account. Selling privileges can stay suspended until they accept the pack.
- What they usually want: government ID, proof of address, sometimes articles, a tax ID, or a beneficial-owner form. Names, dates of birth, and address lines have to match what is already on the account.
- What fails: a generic inauthentic Plan of Action. That letter answers a different notice. It does not list the documents, the dates you uploaded them, or the remaining gap.
- What helps: quote their request, list every file already uploaded with dates, name the mismatch (wrong address line, name spelling, expired ID), and say what you will upload next. Then they upload it. Amazon decides.
What the POA must cover
- Quote that request. Use Amazon’s INFORM Act, identity, or address-verification wording. Include marketplace and case ID if present. This is not a generic inauthentic letter.
- List what you already uploaded. File type, date, and where you submitted it in Seller Central. Past tense.
- Name the remaining gap. Wrong address line, name mismatch, expired ID, missing business paper. Say what still does not match the account.
- Immediate actions already taken. Selling paused if they asked, old files withdrawn if they were rejected, new scans prepared.
- What you will upload next. The matching ID, proof of address, or business paper. You upload it. We do not file it.
- Prevention with an owner. Who keeps identity and address records current, what you keep on file, what happens if Amazon asks again.
- A review request. Short. You submit from Seller Central on this account.
Account-level only
INFORM Act, identity, and address verification are account-level. They are not the listing-only package. If Amazon named INFORM Act, identity documents, address verification, or an adjacent DAC7 document request, use Standard, Plus, or Rush. The listing package answers one suppressed ASIN. It will not answer this notice.
What we will not write
